International youth camp
August 23rd – 29th 2009, Kysak
Let me invite you for a wandering on the roads on which our ancestors had wandered. Long ago they had been blown away and they are not much known. In those ages lived people who had much in common with us, their appearance, desires and dreams. But their thinking was different because their worries and knowledge were different. Different was also their religion which influences the world view, tells people what is their place in it, how they should live, what is good and bad.
Let us set out the journey together which was once reigned by Slavic gods, nowadys almost completely unknown and forgotten, but still gods of our ancestors. We all will have the opportunity to get to know something about ourselves, our abilities and reasons why we behave in some situations like we behave. We will also understand the roots of some of our present customs and traditions.
In case you join us, there are 5 days full of secrents, mysteries, miracles and adventures are waiting for you, you will meet wild monsters and long-ago forgotten demons. All of this in the beautiful scenery, surrounded by trees, river and nearby pond Ružín.
If we don't sucrifice you to old gods on the altar, at the end of the camp you will experience the most unique PARTY of your life.
The meeting is international and young people aged 16 - 20 from Spain and Greece will participate.
The organisator of the camp is the Regional Youth Center, Košice. The whole action will take place in August, 23rd - 29th 2009 in completely reconstructed "School in nature" in Kysak.
The mysteries, magic and enigmatic world of Slavic gods will be guided by Prove (Michal Šľachta), Radegast (Miloš Kažimír) and Živa (Nadia Magnanini, Italian volunteer).
Accomodation in two- or three-bed rooms (bathroom in each room).
Participation fee for the whole camp (accomodation, food and programme) is 200 €.

- Tribes' session: Magna Moravia and its future
(introduction to the history of Magna Moriavia)
- Searching for a Rusalka's Kingdom
(special tasks for the tribes)
- Slavic decathlon
(rivalry as in ancient times)
- Mystical Vales' signs on the trees
(decoding the messages of the god Vales)
- Ritual setting of the "eternal fire"
(introduction to Slavic rituals)
- Farewell with Sun
(singing and dancing)
- Protection of the eternal fire
(all day and night protection)
- Welcoming the Sun
(waking up early in the morning, rituals of welcoming the Sun)
4th day - August 26th 2009
- Košice: the city and its history (visiting the museum, Košice golden treasure)
- Searching for the treasure in the city (special tasks for the tribes)
- Dinner at Camelot

5th day - August 27th 2009
- Searching for the ALATYR tribe
(Climbing the Sivec, searching for the tribe, tasks for the tribes)
- Building the altar
(building the sacrificial place)
- Tribes' purgation
(bath and fun)
- Opening of the Book of beasts, demons and gods
(invitation of the gods and goddesses into the altar, protection from demons)
6th day - August 28th 2009
- Last tasks for the tribes
- Preparing for entering the Svatobor - Slavic paradise
(painting the magic ornaments on the costumes, creating the jewelry)
- Meeting with the rulers of Magna Moravia (princes Mojmir I., Rastislav, Slavomír, Svätopluk, finishing the history of Magna Moravia)
- Election of the last ruler of Magna Moravia (according to the results of the tasks)
- Evening:
Ceremonial entering the Svatobor
Revealing the last secrets
Appointing the heroes and heroines
Giving the titles of princes and princesses to the heroes and heroines of Magna Moravia
